About Me
I am retired from teaching high school languages for 39 years, primarily Spanish and German. Besides teaching languages, I have had the privilege of traveling and living in over 40 countries, including leading 30 high school student trips, plus personal study abroad and other personal travel abroad. Languages and world cultures have been a big part of my life. I am married to a retired schoolteacher and have three adult sons, who all love to travel as well. I hope I can inspire you to enjoy the acquisition of language skill and perhaps see some of the world where that language is spoken.
Of languages tested through STAMP, I am currently somewhere in the Advanced Proficiency (7-9) range in Spanish and German, Mid-to-High Intermediate in French, Portuguese and Italian (4-5-6) and at varying points along the Novice spectrum in the following: Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hebrew, Russian, Arabic and ASL.
